Mitie acquires Linx 国际 Group

Mitie, the UK’s leading security provider, is further developing its security 情报 offering through the acquisition of Linx 国际 Group (Linx), a highly respected risk management consulting business which also provides 科技nical and management training to the security 行业.
With over 35 years of experience delivering unrivalled security consultancy and training services, Linx is formed of three service lines, which will now form part of the Mitie 安全 offering:
Linx Consulting provides a range of specialist security, risk management and investigative services to international clients. These include security risk assessments, 安全设计, fraud and commercial malpractice investigations, contingency planning, and crisis management. The consulting team works with clients of all sectors and sizes and is retained as a specialist advisor by several household names in the FMCG, electronics and pharmaceutical sectors.
PerpetuityARC provides extensive security management training, covering everything from security risk assessments to kidnap and ransom management. PerpetuityARC was also the first private company to offer a master’s degree in 国际 安全 and Risk Management, which is designed and delivers in partnership with the University of West London. It is also the exclusive education partner for the 安全 Institute.
Tavcom provides award-winning 科技nical security skills training, offering over 100 科技nical training courses for installers, 运营商, 经理, and designers of security systems. These cover a range of disciplines such as system design, installation and maintenance for 科技nology video surveillance systems, fire alarms and access control. Tavcom also manages the Certified Technical 安全 Professionals (CTSP) Register for electronic security and fire systems practitioners.
The addition of Linx will enrich Mitie’s own security risk analysis and 情报 capabilities, which combine its 行业 leading 科技nology and exceptional people to meet the increasing customer need for a more sophisticated approach to security. Harnessing Mitie’s scale, cutting-edge 科技nology and national customer footprint, Linx will play a part in enhancing the capability of the wider security 行业, ensuring the calibre of expertise needed for the future of the sector. The two companies also have a range of common customers across the retail, corporate and aviation sectors.
With the 行业 changing at rapid pace, it is more important than ever to promote the development of specialist security expertise. The acquisition of Linx will enable Mitie to call on Linx’s proven ability to evolve in line with the 行业 to adapt and prepare for changes in legislation. This includes the government’s new Protect Duty legislation, commonly known as Martyn’s Law, which imposes greater security requirements on those organisations operating public places with capacities of more than 100 people, which will be launched in 2023. Ahead of its arrival, Mitie is focused on enhancing its risk and assurance offering to support clients and keep the public 安全.

The consideration paid for the entire issued share capital of Linx 国际 Group is £1.2m on a debt free, cash free basis, with a normalised level of working capital. For the 12 months ended Dec 2022, Linx generated revenues of £2.5m, profit before tax of £0.2m and had gross assets of £3.6m.
